The unprecedented growth that comes with it is multidimensional. Many fantastic opportunities are knocking on the doors for organizations and leaders to be the drivers of innovation\, creativity\, mine the power of data and have an impact on organizations\, people and communities they serve. However\, the movement towards gig economy and pace of change puts pressure on the infrastructure\, institutions and culture of the ecosystems we operate in. Added to this are global threats and uncertainties such as climate change\, disease pandemics\, political uncertainty\, cyber- attacks\, economic instability and terrorism. \nResilience is the capacity of individuals\, communities\, organizations and systems to survive\, adapt and thrive. So what will it take for leaders to be resilient enough to cross different boundaries\, survive the pressures\, adapt to the speed of change and grasp the opportunities ahead?  \nAgenda\n4:30-5:00pm – Registration and Networking \n5:00-5:15pm – Welcome and Setting the context from Common Purpose \n5:15-5:30pm – Welcome from SAP Next Gen \n5:30-6:15pm – Keynote by Hon Ronald Arculli\, GBM\, CVO\, GBS\, OBE\, JP \n6:15-7:30pm – Café conversation on Leadership and Resilience. SUMMARY:SVIHK Ageing Society Roundtable: Market Gaps in the Silver Economy
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce the activation of our second thematic initiative on Ageing Society on 29 Aug.\, while the Mental Well-being Task Force continues. We invite you to send at least one representative\, whose work involves “older people” as customers\, as talent\, or as business stakeholders (arguably\, everyone). \nSVIHK Ageing Society Roundtable: Market Gaps in the Silver Economy\nThurs. 29 Aug.  at 4:00-6:00 p.m. \nUsing a Human-Centered Design approach and with inspiration from ageing experts\, we will first explore the problem(s) on a local level – urgency\, sub-angles\, current solutions (public\, private\, civil society) – then together uncover gaps\, market opportunities\, and CSV entry points for business. \nSubject experts invited include: Golden Age Foundation\, PolyU Design Institute for Social Innovation\, Wise at Work (social enterprise)\, Hong Kong Housing Society\, Elderly Commission. \nWHO:  1-2 representatives from your company. Target 15-20 participants total including experts from related business\, NGO\, social enterprise\, academia\, government agency. \nWHAT:  Two-hour roundtable\, incl. experts sharing and Q&A\, then group discussion on cross-sector dynamics\, systemic factors\, what is impactful or not\, to inspire subsequent CSV ideation workshops. \nWe’ll explore angles of LIVING | WORKING | CAREGIVING\, each from the perspectives on older people as CUSTOMERS | TALENT | COMMUNITY MEMBERS. \nWHY IS AGEING SOCIETY A BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY? \n\nToday\, 17% of HK is aged 65+ (>1.2 million people); By 2064\, more than a third (36%) of the population will be aged 65+ – a significant shift from 15% in 2014.\nHK businesses “failing to cash in on ‘silver economy’ with 70% of elderly people feeling let down by choices and services.” (Consumer Council survey\, SCMP 2018)\nAge-Friendly City is a top priority for HK public sector (incl. SIE Fund)\, HK Jockey Club etc.\nDid you know “Golden Age” is 45+ years old? What are Active Ageing\, Smart Ageing?\n\nWHERE: Champion Tower\, The Executive Centre\,  43/F \nClick to RSVP here.

SUMMARY:Social Entrepreneurs Meetup x SVIHK: Business Models for Sustainable Social Impact
DESCRIPTION:It’s no longer enough for a company to just be profitable\, or even responsible. \nNew generations expect business to have a greater purpose – improve society and the environment\, well beyond CSR. The SDGs demand private sector action at speed and at scale. For this\, Creating Shared Value (CSV) is a compelling business approach and framework\, defined by Harvard strategy authority Michael Porter\, for companies to innovate products\, services or profitable value chain models with measurable\, scalable social impact. \nThe CSV movement is growing in Hong Kong\, and there’s high potential for collaboration between social change makers\, impact ventures and Shared Value companies. \nFor this meetup\, we’re happy to have Martina Mok\, Head of Programmes & Partnerships\, Shared Value Project HK\, share this concept with us\, with local/regional examples including Nestlé and AIA. \nWe’ll also have another perspective (to be revealed)\, followed by group discussion on how this fits into the social innovation ecosystem. \nSave the date and stay tuned for updates! \nClick here for more event information! \n——–\nWhat is Creating Shared Value? http://bit.ly/whatisCSVhk\n5 Social Innovation Trends in HK with Shared Value Opportunities: http://bit.ly/SItrends \nJoin our SE Meetup WhatsApp group for daily discussion on social innovation: https://chat.whatsapp.com/GRcZ9dZawdyJ2yavYYNQBD \n——- \nAbout the venue: Ucommune \nUcommune is the leading co-working space provider in China offering a broad spectrum of services – shared office space\, bespoke business services and solutions\, and event spaces for enterprises\, corporations\, and SMEs.
