Daniel is Chairman, co-Founder and previously CEO of bbase Design Group, driving sustainability in the business of eyewear. The group designs and produces eyewear for leading retail and brand markets globally, from offices and facilities across Hong Kong, New York, Barcelona, Singapore and China. Since 2017, bbase has focused on sustainable solutions, subsequently producing millions of certified recycled-materials frames for clients and launching the sustainable materials initiative The bow Index, making offerings visible across clients and the wider industry. Daniel is currently undertaking the Master of Studies in Sustainability Leadership, University of Cambridge, and has also graduated from the University of Melbourne and Monash University in business studies. He is an active longstanding member of the global Entrepreneurs’ Organisation, is recently appointed an Advisory Board member of the Carbon Neutral Club, Hong Kong, and is also exploring intersections between sustainability and digital technologies. Looking forward, Daniel’s goal is to help guide design and production industries to increasingly implement circular economy outcomes and active carbon reduction, on the path towards net zero.
