CUHK Corporate Projects

The partnership between CUHK Business School and SVIHK continues to inspire and empower students to create shared value and become future responsible leaders. In Term 2 of the 2024-2025 academic year, we contributed to bridging academic learning with real-world business challenges through the Corporate Project course. This credit-bearing course enables small teams of students to apply their business knowledge, problem-solving, and analytical skills to real business challenges focused on sustainability and shared value.

SVIHK connected corporates interested in bringing fresh perspectives and building their talent pool with students eager to learn hands-on how to foster impactful solutions in complex business landscapes. Swire Properties and Barclays provided real-world challenges for students to collaborate on and ideate innovative solutions.

SVIHK also hosted a workshop on shared value for the student project teams from Barclays and Swire Properties, equipping them with frameworks to craft business strategies that deliver both economic and social value. This workshop not only deepened students’ understanding of purpose-driven business practices, but also reinforced the course’s commitment to cultivating future responsible leaders.

After the success of the Term 2 2024-2025, we’re thrilled to be preparing for the new term’s corporate projects where CUHK students will work with Jardine Matheson and EY teams on real-world cases focused on shared value and sustainability.

Participating in the shared value workshop provided us with insight into the importance of implementing sustainability in the business, as well as frameworks to balance both business value and sustainability in business projects (…) The consistent feedback from Swire Properties, SVIHK and our project supervisor offered us valuable insight and inspiration to overcome these challenges, making it a rich learning experience that deepened our understanding of the actual business environment.
