What is shared value?

The world we live in needs a new way of doing business, which creates value for business, people, and the planet. This is what is called shared value. Understand the concept coined at Harvard Business School and how companies achieve shared value in a 4-minute-long video.

Creating Shared Value is the title of an award-winning 2011 Harvard Business Review article by Prof. Michael Porter and Mark Kramer. They wrote of a broader definition of strategic business development, the overlap between planning for economic benefit and a company’s ability to positively impact social and environmental conditions.
