A New Name to Enter the Decade of Action

by | 4 月 14, 2021

Shared Value Project Hong Kong becomes Shared Value Initiative Hong Kong, effective 14 April. Gaëlle Loiseau, our CEO, explains the reasons for this change.

Ten years after the seminal article by Prof. Michael Porter and Mark Kramer, Creating Shared Value (CSV) has grown into a global movement with a strong network of Shared Value hubs around the world. In 2021, we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of CSV.

We are now entering the next decade for Shared Value, the Decade of Action for achieving the SDGs. The paradigm-shifting concept born at Harvard has evolved into a practice adopted by business leaders around the world. Practitioners have since tackled societal challenges as opportunities to innovate, build resilience, create competitive advantage and foster trust with stakeholders.

Beyond advocacy, the Global Shared Value Network is focused now on catalysing action and transforming the way business is done. As part of this milestone, Shared Value Project Hong Kong (SVPHK) is changing our name to Shared Value Initiative Hong Kong (SVIHK) to align with other initiatives in the network, effective 14 April. For close Partners, your teams will receive next week the brand assets to update any material in coming weeks.

In this critical time, SVIHK will continue to drive adoption of Shared Value as a disruptive business strategy through advocacy and capacity building in the Greater Bay Area. Our vision is a world where business unlocks long-term performance by improving livelihoods and regenerating ecosystems.

As always, we invite you to join us in further growing this movement. Stay tuned for more on the 10th anniversary!
