Anita Lo
Anita Lo is General Manager of the Ethical Supply Chain Program (ESCP), formerly known as the ICTI Ethical Toy Program. Anita has over 20 years of experience sourcing from suppliers in China and Asia and with 10+ years of senior managerial experience. She has great knowledge of the global supplier base and strong strategic vendor development experience.
Anita joined the Ethical Supply Chain Program as Program Director in January 2019 and was promoted to General Manager in January 2022. She is responsible for overseeing the Asia operations, monitoring and development of the Ethical Supply Chain Program program, ensuring quality and integrity throughout its implementation, advancing the Connect Platform, and supporting the delivery of world-class training and capability-building programs.
Before joining ESCP, Anita worked at OBI, a German DIY retailer as a Head of Division for the Technic team. Before this, she was the Sourcing Director at Lowe’s Global Sourcing Hong Kong Ltd.
Carmel Giblin
Carmel Giblin is President & CEO of the Ethical Supply Chain Program (ESCP), formerly known as the ICTI Ethical Toy Program. Carmel strongly believes that businesses in all sectors have a duty to improve labor and environmental standards across their supply chains, by putting transparency at the core of everything they do.
In her role, she is committed to supporting and growing the ESCP’s membership base - while also overseeing the organization’s responsible sourcing programs, which aim to meet the needs of workers, manufacturers, suppliers, licensors, and retailers. As a committed advocate of better lives for workers she had led the development and successful implementation of a range of worker well-being programs which have led to significant enhancements in worker welfare in global supply chains.
Before joining the Ethical Supply Chain Program, Carmel was CEO of Sedex, where she grew the organization to become the largest technology company operating in the responsible sourcing sector globally.
Daniel Lo
Mr. Daniel Lo, Founder & Director - Daniel is a Certified Sustainable Development Planner & Social Entrepreneur, backed with 25-year solid business operating experience, of which 9 years as Chief Operating Officer to lead the corporate transformation role in a chain-catering company, and Senior management roles in 2 HK-listed corporates. Daniel possesses a proven track record in corporate culture reform & governance, brand management & business development, sales, change management, business process optimization & re-engineering, IT enhancement & digitalization, corporate procurement, investor relations, talent development, social community engagement, in both corporate & operating levels.
Being the Chairman and Co-founder of a social enterprise since 2011, Run to Your Home (跑去你屋企), Daniel keeps contributing the local community by organizing social innovative events and bridging the connection gap between corporate and NGOs, leveraging this networking resources in commercial and social sector. Daniel is the radio program host of RTHK1 「管理新思維」, focusing on ESG & social innovation topics. He is a lecturer of ESG courses at the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) and Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Public Accountants (HKICPA).
Daniel acquired an EMBA degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), a Master's Degree in Science in Telecommunications from HKUST, and a Bachelor's degree in Science in CUHK.
Accommodation
We will spend the night at the Shampoola Holiday Hotel (清遠佛岡森波拉度假酒店) located in the Yangjiao Mountain Provincial Forest Park, Fogang (羊角山省級森林公園內, 佛岡, 511600). The hotel features an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, sauna, parks, and basketball court. The hotel is approximately 45-50 minutes away from Best Top Toys. SVIHK will assist the participants with the room booking.
The Social Impact Learning Expedition – 1,990 HKD / person

The price includes everything but transportation to/from Shenzhen and personal incidentals.

About Yingde Best Top Toys Co.Ltd
Best Top Toys is a leader in the toy manufacturing industry, supplying major brands like Target, McDonald’s, Disney, MGA, and Universal Studios. Their Yingde site features comprehensive facilities including injection molding, a spraying department, assembly lines, a UV workshop, color printing, sewing, embroidery, and laser cutting. It employs over 2,500 production workers, supported by 100 quality control staff and 80 management personnel. Notably, in 2016, Yingde Best Top Toys was one of the first factories in the world to participate in ESCP’s Family-Friendly Spaces pilot program. Since then, they have successfully run the program annually, expanding its capacity from welcoming 30 children in its first year to 118 children in 2024.
