Is a company’s only purpose to make profit for its shareholders? As expectations rise for companies to not only be responsible, but create positive impact on society and the environment, we challenge the notion that profit and purpose are at odds. And for those dedicated to purpose, why is “profit” not a dirty word? For investors, customers and employees, why is delivering on “purpose” more vital than ever? With experts from BASF and FleishmanHillard and a former NAB employee/Planet B founder, this Shared Value Project HK talk explores the challenges and ways of aligning purpose and profit, well beyond traditional CSR and talking SDGs.
