Sam BeereSam Beere, JEB’s General Manager, relates how CREATIVE COLLISION 2020 was the starting point of the Shared Value journey for JEB Group.

Our journey along the Creating Shared Value path started in November 2020, following our maiden visit to the annual CREATIVE COLLISION event organised by SVIHK. Rob Wall, JEB Managing Director, and I were energised by the presentations, real-life projects and the speed in which real ideas could be turned into reality through collaboration and adopting a ‘who not how’ mentality. Taking many positives from the day, we set our sights on applying the principles to impact internally within our companies’ culture and externally with a plan around sustainability.

Reduce waste to landfill

Our business is built on the ability to overcome challenges and never shying away from a difficult situation. We knew immediately that if we could foster the ideology of Shared Value within our projects, we could not only deliver exciting new business opportunities but make positive societal impact.

We’re now working on a project with the primary objective being to reduce commercial office waste going to landfill. We plan to set up an operation to support commercial business relocation and a system to reuse, rehouse or recycle office furniture. We’re already engaged in a number of projects and have been overwhelmed by the positive response to the offering.

We’re proud to be a part of SVIHK and are excited to build partnerships and collaborate with all involved.
