Hong Kong’s first Global Goals Jam took place last weekend, on 22-23 September 2018. The event was organised by Loftwork Hong Kong and SUSTAINHK, implementing a design thinking curriculum developed by The United Nations Development Programme and the Digital Society School (Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences). The event was hosted at nakedHUB New Street and MTRL HK (Loftwork’s creative lounge).

The time is now. Trust of big business is low and social media is very effective at exposing unethical practice. Creating Shared Value may be a business strategy but the dividends are considerable and benefits shared.
Finding purpose and making a contribution to society should not be limited to charity. Government, charities and foundations fill the gap and deliver services to those that cannot afford to pay for them.
